Warwick students selected for the Global Young Scientists Summit in Singapore

Five Warwick students were recently chosen to attend the Global Young Scientists Summit (GYSS) in Singapore, January 2020. They joined 300 young researchers worldwide for a chance to interact with eminent scientists and technology leaders.

Warwick signs agreement with Università Ca' Foscari in Venice

The University of Warwick has announced a collaboration with Università Ca' Foscari in Venice spanning a number of activities. As well as opportunities to develop joint courses, the agreement includes a 2-year postdoctoral position based at Ca' Foscari researching the history of the relationship between Venice and Asia. In addition Warwick will work with Ca' Foscari to deliver the long-running Warwick in Venice programme, enabling Warwick students to benefit from the new closer links during their term in Venice.

Researchers look for better ways for UK universities to handle interactions with potential international students

Professor Helen Spencer-Oatey from Warwick’s Centre for Applied Linguistics (CAL) and Dr Kyung Hye  Kim from Shanghai Jiao Tong University have analysed the postings of students on Korean online communities as they interact with potential future PhD supervisors in the UK.

Warwick students join Brazilian summer school

At the start of 2019 Warwick was invited to nominate two students to attend the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG)'s Summer School on Brazilian Studies. After a competitive selection process, the two successful students from Warwick's School of Modern Languages were awarded scholarships co-funded by UFMG and Warwick.
