This meeting will also launch the next phase of EUTOPIA and gives this alliance of ten research-intensive European the universities the impetus to detail how to innovate and implement new ideas.
During the Opening Ceremony, the ten Presidents will sign an “Inclusion Manifesto” that defines five practices that are central to EUTOPIA values. Jointly with EUTOPIA’s Global Partners, the Presidents will also sign an ‘International Partnerships Charter’ which sets out the principles that govern our engagements with partners beyond Europe, and provide a foundation for our future collaboration.
Professor Seán Hand, Deputy Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Europe) said, “After three years of intensive work, it is wonderful to take stock of the incredible number of activities that are ongoing amongst EUTOPIA partners, and it is exciting to be starting the next phase. As a founding member, Warwick remains at the heart of this highly effective alliance and will continue to engage fully for the benefit of our researchers, educators, staff and students.”
