The Employee Survey is your chance to help shape Warwick's future. Over the years, your views have helped focus improvements on the areas that matter to us all. The survey provides the opportunity for colleagues to make suggestions and improve the way we work at Warwick, as well as a chance to celebrate what we're already doing well. The results of the survey lead directly to action being taken to implement suggestions - at a University-wide and local level.
For a variety of reasons:
to ensure we hear the views of all colleagues
to measure staff engagement at Warwick
so we can benchmark developments since the last survey
to understand what we're doing well so we can share examples of best practice and areas where improvements can be made
to identify actions and priorities for moving forward
to generate ideas for new initiatives and projects.
It is important that as many staff as possible - across all areas and levels of the University - complete the survey to give us the full University picture.
It’s important for you to be able to give your views, so you can play a part in shaping Warwick’s future and making it a great place to work. The results of the survey are collated and used to help the University and departments celebrate what works well, to understand where we need to improve and to identify actions and priorities for moving forward.
We actively encourage as many of our staff as possible to complete the Employee Survey. A good response rate will demonstrate that we have obtained representations from across the University and all staff categories ensuring our results and findings are robust. However, the survey is voluntary; if you do not wish to complete the survey then that is absolutely fine.
The survey will be sent out to all University of Warwick contracted members of staff.
You will receive the survey through a personalised email to you from our Third Party provider - Best Companies. It will be sent from the address survey@b.co.uk
Under no circumstances should anyone forward their email survey invitation to anyone else. If an email has been deleted or not received, please contact and we can arrange for it to be resent.
The survey is made up of 60 perception questions.
Completion times will vary from person to person, but we recommend leaving around 20 minutes free to fill in your responses.
No, you can revisit the survey as long as you haven't submitted it.
We are unable to unlock completed online surveys.
The survey opened week commencing 1 May 2023. It is scheduled to close on Friday 9 June 2023.
All University of Warwick contracted staff are invited to take part in the Employee Survey and we want to hear as many voices and views as possible. Line managers are encouraged (where appropriate) as part of their normal ‘keeping in touch’ processes to let colleagues who are absent from the work place for an extended period know that the survey is live and to look out for the email.
You can find a list of Employee Survey Champions hereLink opens in a new window. These are members of staff who have volunteered to be actively involved in all aspects of the survey and to be a focal point within their departments for questions. Employee Survey Champions are available in a number of departments / service areas.
There will also be a number of Sponsors you can speak with. These will be senior colleagues who are there to promote and support the survey across multiple areas and departments. They will also be on hand throughout the post-survey engagement phase.
