WIHEA Workshop: Exploring our teaching - small scale practitioner inquiry

This workshop offers interested in reflecting on teaching and learning (both practitioners and professional services staff supporting learning) the opportunity to take stock, think out loud and identify some manageable goals for the new academic year in a supportive environment. Over the last 18 months, members of the WIHEA Pedagogic Research in Higher Education Learning Circle have developed a collaborative method that HE staff with multiple and complicated demands on their time can adopt to engage in inquiry into teaching and learning, benefitting their own well-being as well as student experience. They have called this approach Exploratory Pedagogic Enquiry (EPI). The workshop will give you the chance to try out exercises to help you pinpoint questions you'd like to take forward (for instance: framing a teaching-related research question, or solving a practical teaching problem).
