This session is delivered by Academic Technology Team. The Moodle Quiz allows the course editor to design and build quiz activities that make use of a range of question types. These quizzes can be used as formative assessments tasks, or as regular knowledge checks. This two hour hands-on workshop will introduce trainees to the Moodle Quiz and Question Bank tools. The session will cover:

• Setting up a Moodle Quiz and understanding:

o General, Grading, Layout and Question Behaviour Settings

o Feedback Options

o Order & paging

• Understanding Categories

• Creating questions, with a focus on:

o multiple choice

o short answer

o Essay

o Numerical

o Gap fill

• Tips for writing good multiple choice questions
• Adding questions, previewing and administering a Quiz

• Viewing and understanding quiz reports
