How do I use this calendar?

You can click on an event to display further information about it.

The toolbar above the calendar has buttons to view different events. Use the left and right arrow icons to view events in the past and future. The button inbetween returns you to today's view. The button to the right of this shows a mini-calendar to let you quickly jump to any date.

The dropdown box on the right allows you to see a different view of the calendar, such as an agenda or a termly view.

If this calendar has tags, you can use the labelled checkboxes at the top of the page to select just the tags you wish to view, and then click "Show selected". The calendar will be redisplayed with just the events related to these tags, making it easier to find what you're looking for.

ENABLING IMPACT: The What, Why, and How of Creating Spin-Outs
Central Campus, Junction Building, The Climb, Mezzanine

This is a new series of seminars focused on the practicalities of how to commercialise research. These seminars are aimed at the Warwick PI and Postdoc community to offer guidance on best practice for key aspects of the commercialisation journey including: types of IPR & how not to disclose; the licensing and spin-out process; and how to communicate ideas to commercialisation stakeholders.

The University of Warwick has created more spin-out companies in the past few years than any other Midlands University. So what makes a good spin-out, and why should you choose to spin-out your research instead of licensing it?

Dr Tim Francis will talk about what is involved in creating a spin-out company, the importance of timing, what investors expect, and the role of the founding academic in a future spin-out, as well as introducing how Warwick Innovations supports you on your spin-out journey.

Places are limited, but this will run on a regular basis, so please follow us on Eventbrite for details of future sessions.
