Warwick's Wonders & Wows

Thanks for your interest - nominations are currently closed. We'll update these web pages when they re-open.

Tell us about a colleague you're proud to be working with!

It could be something caring, thoughtful, or imaginative they have done to help others - inside or outside of work.

Or it could be an unsung hero who has quietly gone about doing their job brilliantly for many years and deserve the recognition for the difference that they make.

Warwick Wows

Teamwork makes the dream work!

Tell us about a team who have worked or are working brilliantly together to achieve something special.

It could be a team from one department or a group of people from different areas in the University.

Get involved

When nominating, as well as telling us why you have chosen your nominee(s) you will also have the option of uploading a video or image to help to tell the story.

Winners will be chosen by Stuart Croft, Vice-Chancellor, who will also occasionally make his own nominations when he sees exceptional work he wants to recognise. We'll announce the winners in our staff communications.

Meet the previous winners...

Since launching in December 2022, we've met some truly brilliant people who have gone above and beyond in their day-to-day roles.

Please take some to find out about their amazing work and see their reactions to receiving the award.

December 2023 Winners

"We couldn’t do it without the dedicated support of our internal coaches, all of whom are members of staff who coach in addition to their day jobs."

November 2023 Winners

"I have an amazing team who enable us to support children and families we care for. I am so proud of myself and the Nursery team and that we're able to celebrate the great work we do."

October 2023 Winners-Part 2

"Nick’s done some amazing outreach work in schools. He’s such a powerful advocate for change, for justice, for opportunity, and he’s absolutely inspirational about it."

October 2023 Winners-Part 1

"The summer school was incredibly well received and our Ukrainian colleagues felt the sessions and support provided by Bo, Gwen and the extended team were exceptional."

June 2023 Winners

"We can only do these things because of the fantastic support we get from colleagues, from our department and - of course - from the University. We all have a share in this."

May 2023 Winners

"We believe that research thrives when researchers thrive, and ambitious research must not come at the expense of caring for and investing in the development of the emerging researchers we work with."

April 2023 Winners

"As someone who is a late diagnosed Autistic, I have been discovering how my brain works differently to others, and to therefore have recognition for my ideas and how I work makes me feel validated, seen and accepted."

March 2023 Winners

"I feel very passionate about widening participation in higher education (especially in STEM). My dream is to increase the number of young people entering higher education, and more specifically to increase the proportion of these students who are from underrepresented groups."

February 2023 Winners

"It was certainly surreal and nerve-wracking having Teams call with a personal tutee and hearing sirens and explosions in the background."

January 2023 Winners

"The fact that people come and appreciate the Christmas lectures is enough for us, but they wanted to do something to express their gratitude which was really lovely.

December 2022 Winners

"It’s an incredibly supportive environment, not only for students but also for the staff. For me, I feel it’s been the best environment that I’ve been the best version of myself in.”
