The opening match of the 2014 Varsity Ice Hockey Series between the UNiversity of Warwick and Coventry University takes place on Thursday 20 February. Face-off is at 7.45pm and tickets cost just £5 and include return transport between the Piazza and Planet Ice. Come along to support your team!

The event is described by Warwick Sport as:

An orgy of bone-crunching checks, lightning fast dekes and laser-beam shots, with plenty of room for tempers to flare and scores to be settled."

Tickets and transport

Coaches will leave from the Piazza between 5.45pm and 7:45pm, returning from Planet Ice to campus between 10.15pm and 11.15pm.

£5 Standard Ticket includes: Entry to Planet Ice Arena and return coach transport from campus.

£10 Bundle Ticket includes: Entry to Planet Ice Arena and return coach transport from campus, plus a Varsity 2014 t-shirt, Team Warwick foam claw and entry to Week 9 POP! (Wednesday 5 March, event only).
