A statement on the death of Professor Jason Arday

We were deeply saddened to learn of the death of Professor Jason Arday and extend our thoughts and sympathies to Jason’s family, friends, former students, colleagues and all who knew him. We know this news will be distressing for many members of our community.

Jason spent an early part of his career in 2019 at Warwick as a Senior Teaching Fellow within the Centre for Education Studies. As a member of our academic community, he focused on students and supporting the student experience, encouraging the next generation through education. Jason returned to campus in June as a keynote speaker at the Warwick Education Conference.

Support services are available to our staff and students. Anyone who is struggling or in need of support is encouraged to seek help through our Wellbeing provision, our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), or the Students’ Union. The Chaplaincy offers bereavement support and a welcoming, inclusive space for all members of our community.
