On Wednesday 22 January, access to University House will be restricted to staff only and WMG buildings will move to a single point of access. This is in response to a planned rally on Wednesday.

University House will close to students from 10pm on Tuesday 21 January and remain closed to students until Thursday morning, 23 January. Students who have a prior written appointment at University House will be permitted into the building. They will be asked to show written/email permission and ID. Please communicate this to them if you have a pre-arranged meeting.

Staff will need to enter the building through the main reception at the front and be prepared to show their University ID to Community Safety staff. On Wednesday 22 January, the building is open to staff from 7am until 6pm.

On Wednesday 22 January, there will also be a single point of access for all WMG buildings. You will need to be prepared to show your university ID to Community Safety staff and keep it visible while in the buildings.

Please rest assured that these measures are in place to help the University continue its normal activity and above all keep everyone safe and secure. The demonstration is being monitored and managed in line with our legal duty.
