Dear Colleagues,

We’ve had an outstanding start to the academic year. Being named Times and Sunday Times University of the Year is an incredible achievement, made particularly special by the fact it comes as we prepare to celebrate our 50^th anniversary. This achievement is the result of the hard work and commitment to Warwick’s ongoing success demonstrated by all staff every single day.

In recognition of your commitment and to mark this fantastic achievement, we will be giving all staff an extra day’s leave (or the appropriate equivalent) on Friday 2 January 2015. For those of you who have already booked holiday on that day, or who have to work for operational reasons, you will instead receive an additional day’s holiday (or equivalent) to add to your annual allowance.

We’re also launching a University-wide staff awards scheme this year to recognise the exceptional contributions made by individuals and teams who make our success possible. Watch out for more details on insite shortly.
