Jo Angouri appointed Academic Director (Education and Internationalisation)
Professor Jo Angouri from the Centre for Applied Linguistics has been appointed as Academic Director (Education and Internationalisation). Jo has been leading on the internationalisation component of our Education Strategy since January 2019. Jo’s appointment is for an initial period of 3 years.
Through this appointment, Jo has become a full member of the Education Executive, led by Professor Chris Hughes, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education).
About the role
In this role, Jo works in close partnership with Student Opportunity, academic departments and the Students' Union. She has been leading on the development of existing and new mobility schemes with strategic partners and on the intercultural experience on and off campus, to ensure Warwick delivers an excellent student learning journey which is international, interdisciplinary and inclusive. Jo is a key member of the EUTOPIA project team.

About Jo
As well as being the lead for the lead for the internationalisation component of our Education Strategy, Jo is Director of Undergraduate Studies at the Centre for Applied Linguistics. She has significant experience in research-led education, multidisciplinary curriculum design and undergraduate and postgraduate programme leadership. She has a strong profile and involvement in research policy and is currently directing two international research networks.
