£3000 scholarship to study in Hong Kong

arvindArvind Norris, Politics and International Studies BA student, has been awarded a £3000 scholarship from the British Council Scholarships for Excellence scheme.

The Scholarships for Excellence are offered by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS). They are an excellent opportunity for students studying at higher education institutions in England to spend from a semester up to a year studying in Hong Kong as part of their degrees.

Arvind said:

I spent five days in Hong Kong whilst travelling around China last summer and instantly fell in love with the city. The variation from the dense, buzzing metropolis in the centre to the isolated hills and beaches on the outskirts was simply phenomenal. I am therefore thrilled to be able to spend my third year studying at the prestigious University of Hong Kong. Furthermore, I was awarded a £3000 travel scholarship from the British Council in Hong Kong which will enable me to travel around East Asia and experience what the region has to offer. I cannot wait to get out there!"
