Barista Skills Challenge

This year saw the introduction of a new competition with 20 competitors – Barista Skills Challenge with contestants creating a range of 12 specific coffees, including a speciality of their own creation, all of which had to be completed in a timed 15 minute session. Joe Halas and Nick Kirwan from Café Library competed for Warwick, finishing in 2nd and 5th place.

Chefs’ Challenge

The Chefs’ Challenge this year proved to be tough once with a high level of competition and over 20 teams entering. Warwick’s team with Gary Brown, Stuart Hope and Graham Edwards, delivered a menu that impressed the judges and finished in the top ten.

Alan added:

The Judges stated on numerous occasions what a fantastic competition this is and the standard of food being produced was exceptional; a true credit to the industry, the sector that we work in, and the skills and effort made by everyone taking part. Well done to everyone and we look forward to seeing Warwick entering again next year with entries in all competitions.
