In Memoriam: Carl McQueen

The University is deeply saddened by the news that Dr Carl McQueen, who was based within Warwick Clinical Trials Unit in Warwick Medical School, died suddenly on the morning of Friday 12 February 2016.

Carl joined Warwick Medical School in September 2013 and was undertaking a NIHR Doctoral Research Fellowship.

Professor Gavin Perkins, Professor in Critical Care Medicine in Warwick Medical School, said:

Carl was a dedicated and gifted clinical academic in emergency medicine and pre-hospital care. He was engaged in world leading research about trauma care systems with the aim of improving patient care and outcomes at its centre. He will be sorely missed by his colleagues at Warwick and within the NHS."
