Christmas Closures 2011
The University will officially close from Friday 23 December 2011 (i.e. Thursday 22 December will be the last working day) and will re-open on Tuesday 3 January 2012 (i.e. the University will be open for work on the morning of Tuesday 3 January.)
The Bridge Lodge will close at 12:30pm on Thursday 22 December 2011 and re-open at 8am on Tuesday 3 January 2012.
Should there be exceptional reasons for staff wanting to gain access to University buildings during this period they should contact the Security Gatehouse (ext. 22083) to make suitable arrangements.
University House will be closed from 6pm on Saturday 24 December 2011 to 7am on Monday 26 December 2011.
At all other times University House will remain open to allow students access to the Learning Grid. Staffing at the Learning Grid will be 12 noon to 6pm daily during the vacation period.
The Student Reception, University House, will be closed for the Christmas Holiday from 3pm on Thursday 22 December 2011 until 9am on Tuesday 3 January 2012.

The Library will close at midnight on Thursday 22 December 2011 and re-open from 11:30am until 6pm on the following days:

Between Tuesday 27 December and Saturday 31 December, the Tennis Centre is open, but all courts are fully booked.

The IT Services Help Desk, including the drop-in service located in the Library building, will be closed from 5:30pm on Thursday 22 December 2011 and will re-open at 9am on Tuesday 3 January 2012.
While the help desk is closed you will still be able to log calls using the online self service facility, and they will be dealt with when the help desk re-opens on Tuesday 3 January 2012.
The Chaplaincy will remain open on swipe card access from 8:30am to 10:30pm each day over the Christmas vacation until the start of term, as a 'drop in' centre for students who are still on campus - all are welcome. There is a DVD player and facilities to make tea and coffee.
