Covid-19 guidance: Update 25 January 2022

Here’s an update on Covid-19 arrangements at Warwick, following last week’s government announcement that Plan B restrictions will be lifted after 26 January 2022.

Face coverings

The decision has been taken to keep existing face covering guidance in place at Warwick until the end of term 2. This means staff and students are required to continue to wear a face covering in line with current term 2 guidance.

Our priorities include keeping our community safe and being able to continue with face-to-face teaching so that our students have the best learning experience possible, which is why we think it’s sensible to take a cautious approach to minimise the risk of transmission. We also want to ensure students can keep enjoying campus and life outside of their studies with Warwick Presents and other extracurricular events and opportunities.

Working arrangements

In line with Government guidance that people no longer need to work from home, teams and services who have been working from home can now resume moving to a hybrid working model (spending some time working on campus and some time working off campus or at home). Please talk to your Head of Department about local arrangements for hybrid working where your role allows for this.

Wellbeing and support

As always, if you need support, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with Wellbeing Support Services, the Employee Assistance Programme, your HR Business Partner or your line manager.

There is specific guidance available to managers on handling enquiries.

Keeping up to date

As always, the safety and wellbeing of our community is paramount. Our flexible planning approach and experience over the course of the pandemic means that, if circumstances do change, we can and will adapt quickly.

We’re very grateful for the support of colleagues in observing requirements and keeping everyone safe.
