Launch of Centre for Professional Education

cpeThe end of last term saw the launch of the University's Centre for Professional Education (CPE). CPE, based on the Westwood campus, is the University’s global service provider for high quality teaching and professional education and was created following a strategic review of the former Institute of Education earlier in 2013.

The launch event saw University Provost, Professor Stuart Croft and Head of Initial Teacher Education, Dr Adam Boddison speak to the achievements of colleagues across the University who have helped form and develop CPE. The new centre builds on the success of Warwick’s existing expertise in teacher training and offers early years, primary and secondary PGCEs across a range of subject specialisms with all including Masters level credits as standard.

In addition, and based in the recently refurbished Avon Building on Westwood campus, the Student Hub provides a flexible environment for students to study alongside technology-enabled teaching spaces.
