Charitable Campus Cleanup: Donate your leftovers

We hope that you’ve had a very successful year and enjoyed your time at Warwick! As you prepare to depart the University or move to another area, you may decide that you don’t want to take your left over food or old belongings with you.

Donate

Students can leave non-perishable, unopened food in plastic bags on your halls kitchen table, or deliver to Jack Martin 4 (see campus maps) from 24 June-27 June, 10-3pm and we will donate it all to worthy causes. Primarily, they will be collecting any tins and un-opened packets of food. However, they can also take the following:

  • Part-used packets of dried goods such as rice, pasta, tea, coffee, sugar, salt and breakfast cereals
  • Potatoes, as long as they are good quality without shoots
  • Unwanted books
  • New or part-used toiletries
  • New or part-used cleaning chemicals

Also, if you have unwanted clothes, bags, CDs, DVDs, small electricals, pots/pans/crockery then you can support the British Heart Foundation by taking your items to the red BHF donation banks located outside your Hall of Residence.

Volunteer

You can also volunteer on the Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 of June as volunteers go from halls to halls trying to salvage as much loot as they can for recycle and reuse. Get involved for a good cause and sign up to help out here. For more info email at HomedWarwick at gmail dot com or visit their Facebook page.

Many thanks in advance for any donations you can make!
