San Ting Gilmartin and Wendy Roberts appointed to lead Estates department
We are delighted to announce the appointment of two significant senior roles within the Estates Department - San Ting and Wendy Roberts.
Over the next 10 years, the University has ambitious plans to transform the campus and has committed to a significant investment of circa £1bn to further develop and build a world-class environment for the university’s staff, students and visitors. This is an extremely exciting time for San Ting to be joining the University and she will play a key role in delivering the vision for the built environment, including the significant Connect programmes.
San Ting brings significant experience and expertise in leading large-scale, multidisciplinary capital projects across a variety of sectors, including Higher Education. She joins us from University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, where she has successfully delivered projects and led the development of capital planning and bids for the Trust’s estate. San Ting previously worked at the University of Glasgow as Director of Programme Management Office (Construction), where she led the development of their capital planning governance and oversight.
San Ting said:
"It’s such a privilege to be joining Warwick at this pivotal time of significant capital investment and with the 60th anniversary approaching next year. I’m very much looking forward to meeting all the Estates teams during the weeks ahead and meeting many internal stakeholders to understand how Estates can continue playing our part in achieving Warwick’s strategic vision and goals for the years ahead."
We are also pleased to announce that Wendy Roberts will be taking on the role of Estates Director from 1st October 2024 for an interim period of six months. During this time Wendy will lead the core services of Estates including facilities, cleaning, accommodation, property, risk and assurance, and environmental sustainability.
