Become a Global Think Tank 2023 Mentor
Monash SEED, at our partner Monash University, presents the Global Think Tank (GTT).
GTT is a week-long accelerator programme (10 March – 17 March) that connects students around the world in order to address a social impact issue by designing a social enterprise.
They are looking for passionate individuals with experience in social entrepreneurship to mentor 1-2 teams of 5-6 students for Global Think Tank. As a mentor, you will inspire students with your experience and support them as they design their own social enterprise.
Students will have the opportunity to work in teams to build a social enterprise with mentorship and training from industry professionals at every step of the way.
They will develop entrepreneurship skills through interactive workshops hosted by global experts. At the end of the program, students will pitch their social enterprise idea to an international panel of judges, for their chance of winning a monetary prize.
This program will form job-ready students, with skills in problem-solving, entrepreneurship, and cross-cultural collaboration.
On Monday 13 March, mentors should be present for the virtual workshop session for 30 minutes to check in with their teams' progress and provide feedback for the workshop activity, which will be a short elevator pitch.
On Thursday 16 March, we ask that mentors allow up to 60 minutes total during the day for teams to book virtual consultation times with them, where they can ask any final questions as they prepare to submit their final presentation on Friday 17 March.
Overall, mentors are asked for a total time commitment of 2 hours during the week. Mentors may also provide their emails to teams if they are comfortable with students reaching out for help beyond the allocated workshop or consultation times.
