Keeping Campus Moving update: 2 June 2014

Here are the latest updates relating to our large-scale campus development project. For more information, visit warwick.ac.uk/keepingcampusmoving.

Work to complete Academic Loop Road starts

Work to complete Academic Loop Road (running around the back of the IIPSI building) will start soon. We expect very minimal disruption to normal University traffic since this will take place away from Gibbet Hill Road and University Road.

These works are part of the preparation for the upcoming campus road improvements project. Once completed, the new section of the road will be one way for coaches only, providing an alternative drop off, wait and collection point for coaches, which previously would have used Library Road.

Whilst Gibbet Hill Road is closed, some regular bus services will also use the road to turn around on campus, without causing much, if any, disruption All traffic related to these works will enter via University Road and down past car park 15 to avoid any noise near the Claycroft residences.

Traffic Control Officers

Several Traffic Control Officers (TCOs) have now started work on campus in advance of our major road improvements project. These officers will be here throughout the project to guide you to available parking spaces and to offer assistance if you have any questions. You can identify the officers by their Keeping Campus Moving armbands.

Car Parks 4, 4a and 5 now permanently closed

From Monday 2 June 2014, car parks 4, 4a and 5 will be permanently closed. Nearby alternatives for permit holders are car parks 2, 3, 6 or 7. If you don't have a permit, you can park in car park 7 or 8 / 8a. Disabled spaces are available on Health Centre Road and in car park 7.
