Language Centre courses: enrolment open

The Language CentreEnrolment for new 2013/14 Lifelong Language Learning (LLL) courses is now open. You can enrol online between Wednesday 11 September 2013 and Friday 18 October 2013.

The Language Centre offers a wide range of foreign language courses that take you from beginner to beyond advanced level. All courses are taught by communicative methods involving active learning and useful language skills. LLL courses are open to Warwick students, staff and members of the public.

Consultation evenings

The Language Centre is running a number of consultation evenings, where new students can meet tutors and discuss any questions you may have about the courses.

Sessions for French, German and Spanish courses will take place between 5-7pm on Wednesday 18, Thursday 19 and Tuesday 24 September 2013.

Sessions for Russian language courses will take place between 5-7pm on Thursday 19 September 2013.

Sessions for Italian language courses will take place between 5-7pm on Tuesday 24 September 2013.

Enrolment in person & level diagnosis

If you are new to the centre, you can pop along to one of the special diagnosis sessions where your current level can be determined in order to ensure that you enrol for the right class. Level diagnosis sessions will be held on the following dates:

Monday 30 September 2-8pm Chinese, French and German
Tuesday 1 October 2-8pm Italian, Japanese and Spanish
Wednesday 2 October 5-8pm Arabic, Greek, Portuguese and Russian

Academic Modules

Our academic modules are also open to postgraduate students, staff and members of the public. Registration for academic modules has to be made in person; please contact the Language Centre office either by email or by telephone on 024 7652 3462.

Warwick Learning Account vouchers

Members of staff can use Warwick Learning Account (WLA) vouchers as payment for courses, but will need to contact the Centre for Lifelong Learning (CLL) beforehand to obtain the vouchers. (More information on the WLA scheme can be found on the website.)

Where to find the Language Centre

The Language Centre is located on the ground floor of the Humanities Building on Central Campus. (The Humanities Building is building number 23 on the online map.)
