U1 and U17 bus service disruptions from 1 July 2013
The U1 and U17 Stagecoach Unibus services will be disrupted by sewerage works in Leamington Spa from Monday 1 July 2013.
Due to the size of Severn Trent's excavations, High Street, between Tachbrook Road and Althorpe Street, will be closed while work is being carried out. As a result, Stagecoach will have to divert a number of bus services running in Leamington and revise timetables to take account of the changes.
From Monday 1 July, buses from the University travelling south to Sydenham will run their existing route to Leamington Upper Parade, but will then run essentially in a clockwise loop via Newbold Terrace, Willes Road, Sydenham Drive, then travel anticlockwise around Gainsborough Drive before returning to the centre of Leamington via Sydenham Drive, Prospect Road, Grosvenor Road, St Helens Road and Tachbrook Road. As a result buses running towards Sydenham will not pick up at the Crown Hotel stop.
