National Student Survey now open to finalists
This week we are launching the National Student Survey (NSS) which captures the views of final year undergraduates across the UK on their learning experience. The NSS has proven to be a useful, important tool in understanding how our students view their time at Warwick and informing our collective focus on making it the best time possible.
The way we engage our students continues to evolve. We are embedding new ways of working in partnership with them to understand, review and refine different parts of their experience – be that their learning, social or professional experience of studying with us. This is a natural part of Warwick’s community ethos, whereby a strong, informed student voice is central.
Across campus and online, we are introducing a new-look campaign to promote the NSS, which focuses on these elements. Students will receive a personal invitation and link as part of the campaign, but we know the most persuasive messages come from the staff that students already know. With that in mind, we are asking colleagues in academic and professional service departments to raise awareness of the survey and emphasise the importance of student feedback, while being careful not to compromise the anonymity of the survey or influence students’ responses (HEFCE have clear guidance on this).
More information on the survey can be found at www.warwick.ac.uk/nss, including a staff resources page where promotional resources can be downloaded.
Colleagues in academic departments can also contact their Director of Undergraduate Studies or Director of Student Experience & Progression for more information on efforts to engage students in the department.
