New mentoring scheme
Mentoring is a valuable development intervention in which the mentor uses their knowledge, expertise and experience to help enhance the menteeās performance and/or development.
A new mentoring scheme for staff is now available, open to all colleagues. See how you can get involved.
Becoming a mentor
We would like our mentors to reflect our inclusive University community and therefore we are keen to recruit new mentors at all at career stages from Estates, CCSG, teaching-focused, research-focused and teaching and research-focused roles.
We are particularly keen to increase the diversity of our mentors, and to increase our focus on intersectionality. We therefore encourage applications from minoritised racial identity communities, other marginalised groups, and men - as men are currently underrepresented in the mentoring pool.
Mentoring training will be provided and no experience of mentoring is necessary.
