Emails unavailable Thursday 11 July 7:30-8.00am

IT Services have completed the migration of our email system to Office 365. They are now preparing a plan to introduce some new features beneficial to the University community.

Pending further planning and analysis they hope to introduce :

  • Instant messaging;
  • 7Gb of personal storage that synch’s between multiple devices; and
  • access to micro-sites and simple workflow tools.

One feature they can immediately confirm is an increase in personal mailbox from 10Gb to 25Gb.

These new features, if proven useful and technically achievable, will be phased in over the coming weeks.

As part of the ongoing implementation, access to email may be unavailable this Thursday 11 July 2013 between 07:30 and 08:00. After this time, you may be asked to re-enter your password to either Outlook, web mail or other mail client that you use. If you are asked to do this use your ‘new’, recently changed ITS username and password or contact the helpdesk for further help on +44(0)24765 73737.
