New leadership roles in Marketing, Communications and Insight
We’ve made some changes in Marketing, Communications and Insight to create a new senior structure.
Emma Mundy has been appointed as Director of Student Recruitment and Marketing. She will be responsible for the development and delivery of the University’s student recruitment and student engagement marketing and communication strategies, including leading a student recruitment/communications hub and spoke model. Emma also leads the Marketing Services function, the internal agency ensuring our content is at the forefront of a digital-first approach. The student recruitment team under the leadership of Jon Inegbedion will now join Emma’s team.
Charlotte Ridley has been appointed as Director of Brand Communications and Marketing. She leads on the development, governance and management of our ‘brand’ helping us all tell our story better, draw on our strengths and build our profile. This will include our visual identity as well as creating long term multi-year campaigns; an ambitious new approach which will deliver a step change in the university’s profile and reputation in support of our strategic objectives. Charlotte will retain responsibility for CCSG marketing and Carl Freelove and the team will continue to report to her.
We have started the process of recruiting a permanent Director of Corporate Communications. In the meantime we have appointed Dominic Nutt as Interim Corporate Communications Director for six months to lead on staff communications, cross institutional reputation management, regional communications, media relations and social media.
Jo Richards will remain as the lead on Market Research and Insight, continuing to deliver the expert insight that sits at the heart of all we do.
