The School of Life Sciences hosted the final rounds of this years British Biology Olympiad (BBO). Run by the Society of Biology, the BBO challenges and stimulates students with an interest in Biology to expand and extend their talents. Students are able to demonstrate their knowledge in practical and theory tests and be rewarded by prizes.
From 13 April to 16 April practical assessments and an additional written paper were taken in the Life Sciences Teaching labs, utilising our excellent facilities and teaching staff.
Medals and prizes will be presented at the Royal Society in June and top students will be selected to represent the UK in the International Biology Olympiad in Bali in July.
