Open Access: Information for authors

Open
The Library and Research Support Services currently have funding available to help researchers pay the Article Processing Charges (APCs) associated with Gold Open Access (OA) for any journal articles accepted for publication by the end of March 2013. This funding is available on a first-come-first-served basis.

For details on how to apply and other information about Open Access at Warwick, please visit go.warwick.ac.uk/lib-researchers/authors.

This support for Gold OA fees is available in response to UK government policies.

Research Councils UK has announced that from 1 April 2013 all research wholly or partially funded by RCUK must be published in journals compliant with Research Council policy on Open Access.

Open Access compliant journals offer two different publishing options: Gold OA or Green OA. The University encourages all researchers to begin publishing their research using one of the two OA options prior to the 1 April deadline.

Support available

The Library's Open Access Officer, Helen Albrow, is available to help with the transition to OA publishing. She can answer any questions about the Open Access process, and how to request APC funding prior to the end of March 2013. Helen can be reached at: openaccessfund at warwick dot ac dot uk
