Get involved in our Open Days

Open Day visitor with bagStaff are invited to help welcome visitors to campus at our next Open Day on Saturday 25 October 2014.

We’re expecting thousands of visitors, primarily Year 12 students considering Warwick as an undergraduate option and their supporters, who will be able to find out what it is like to study and live here.

How you can help

In order to deliver a successful University-wide event, staff support is needed for a variety of roles, each of which offers a rewarding opportunity to be part of a large and busy event designed to showcase Warwick to our prospective students and their supporters.

Roles include the coordination of student ambassadors, directing visitors and managing entry to sessions. Support is needed from 8am to 5pm on the day, and you’ll need to attend a briefing session at 11am on 21 October.

If you’re interested in being involved, please discuss this with your line manager before signing up. Staff on grades 1-5 will be paid time-and-a-half by the Student Admissions and Recruitment Office. Grades 6 - 8 may be offered time off in lieu for the day, if agreed in advance with line managers.

Sign up to help

Please sign up by Monday 13 October 2014.

You will receive an email shortly after the deadline to confirm whether you have been chosen to work.

If you have any questions about the day then please contact Simon Fairbanks at s dot fairbanks at warwick dot ac dot uk or call extension 73036.

Sector research and our own survey feedback indicate that university open days are a significant factor in informing applicant decision making – one of the reasons that this year Warwick is running four open days instead of three. Our Open Days in June and September were a huge success and we hope to match this success on 25 October 2014.
