New pension legislation: Reminder

All salaried staff were recently informed by letter of a new law introduced by the Government requiring employers to automatically enrol their workers in a qualifying pension scheme.

This is a reminder that if you are not already in one of the pension schemes offered through the University, you will be automatically enrolled from this month, March 2013, if you meet the qualifying criteria (unless you have already opted out, prior to the cut off date).

If you do meet the qualifying criteria, you will notice on your March payslip a reduction in your net pay this month, as a result of the pension deduction. Pay slips will be dispatched before Friday 22 March.
