Phishing email warning

A phishing email has been sent to some Warwick email accounts, asking you to submit your account details.

The email is not genuine, and you should not reply to it or follow any links in it. It is an attempt to capture your personal data. IT Services will never ask you to submit your account details online.

The text of the email is as follows:

Subject: Email account update Webmail Welcome to the University of Warwick@ 2013

Dear subscriber e-mail

We wish to inform that we are currently providing services regular
maintenance and improvement of our service account and, as a result of
this their accounts should be updated. We apologize for the
inconvenience. To keep your account, you should reply to this email
immediately and enter the the following information:

Username:

Password:

If not done within 72 hours, immediately make your own deactivated
from our database.
