Professor Jackie Labbe appointed Pro-Vice-Chancellor at University of Sheffield
The University of Sheffield has announced today that it has appointed Professor Jackie Labbe as a Pro-Vice-Chancellor for the Arts and Humanities. Professor Labbe is currently Chair of Warwick’s Graduate School and a Professor in our Department of English and Comparative Literary Studies
Warwick’s Vice-Chancellor Professor Nigel Thrift said:
Jackie will bring a great deal of talent and experience to her new role at Sheffield . In addition to her role as Head of the Graduate School at Warwick, she serves on our University Council and Senate and the Academic Resources and Finance Committees. She also has extensive international experience, serving on the University International Committee and the Development and Joint Programmes Group which supports the Alliance between Warwick and Monash University.
Her appointment is further confirmation of how highly sought after Warwick Senior staff are by other Universities. Around a dozen former senior Warwick researchers and administrators are now in leadership roles in a range of other UK universities.”
