The new campus cycle route, developed by the University in partnership with Sustrans and Coventry City Council, had its official opening on Wednesday 11 December with the recently advertised Reindeer Ride. Pro Vice Chancellor Jan Palmowski joined the Lord Mayor of Coventry, Gary Crookes, Councillor Lancaster and Edward Healey, Area Manager for Sustrans to open the new route.

The route runs all the way from Cryfield Sports Pavillion (where it joins on to the end of Connect 2 Kenilworth) through to the junction of Sir William Lyons Road and Lynchgate road. This provides the University and the surrounding community with a clear cycle route from Kenilworth to Cannon Park via campus.
