About the scheme

Research to Reality is a new scheme open to postgraduate research students launching in February 2013. Over 12 weeks, you will be put through a structured programme which will focus on the following topics:

• Consultancy

• Intellectual Property and commercialisation of research

• Social enterprise

• How to write a business plan

Throughout the scheme, there will be opportunities to meet regularly with other group members over coffee, to create a support network of contacts that may benefit you during the scheme or further down the line. On completion of the scheme in full, you will be eligible to apply for funding of up to £5,000 to further develop your business idea. Support with preparing to pitch your project idea will also be provided.
