Step 1: Your friend needs to follow the guidance for a positive test result
Step 2: You need to keep self-isolating for 10 days.
You will enter a longer, formal self-isolation period of 10 days. The 10-day period starts from the day your friend who took the test became unwell, or, if they had no symptoms, from the day the test was taken.
You must self-isolate for 10 days, even if you do not experience any symptoms.
The University's Test and Trace team will be in touch with you as you are a close contact. They will signpost you to University support services.
