Professor Sean Hand becomes Senior Fellow of Higher Education Academy

The Higher Education Academy has conferred the status of Senior Fellow on Professor Seán Hand of the Department of French Studies.

Fellowship recognition at the HEA is designed around a Professional Standards Framework that benchmarks teaching and learning within Higher Education.

Senior Fellows are those who in the eyes of the HEA provide evidence of a sustained record of effectiveness in teaching and learning, including in relation to the organisation, leadership and management of teaching and learning provision.

On learning of the award, Seán Hand commented:
