The Royal Society for Asian Affairs are inviting students of any discipline to apply for a cash award of up to £1000 for projects involving travel to Asia. The award is open to individuals aged 18-25 for projects relating to the geography, history, politics, environmental conservation, culture or art of the area to be visited.

The award was established in memory of Sir Peter Holmes MC (1932-2002), a long-standing member of the Royal Society for Asian Affairs who, besides becoming Chairman of the Royal Dutch Shell Group, was a distinguished traveller, mountaineer, fisherman and photographer.
