Snow update: Monday 11 February 2013
While the Met Office has a general warning for snow this morning, Monday 11 February 2013, it has issued no yellow warnings for the Midlands or Warwickshire after that point, and is predicting only some slight snow or sleet showers as the week progresses. The main roads around the campus are clear and the University will therefore operate as usual.
Staff and students travelling in from areas affected by any local snowfall are advised to take extra care. Grounds staff have been gritting throughout the campus but again, please take extra care when travelling around the campus.
For alerts of snow and ice, the Met Office advises that the public should access the latest weather forecast for up-to-date weather information and should take extra care when walking, cycling or driving in affected areas. For more information visit the Met Office website.
The University will continue to monitor the weather forecast over the coming days and weeks and issue alerts and guidance to staff and students as necessary. Please check insite regularly for updates.
