New Warwick kits to give our student sports teams a stronger identity

Our student sports teams will be competing in a brand new Warwick kit for all national and regional competitions from the start of the next academic year. The striking red and black kits were chosen by the sports clubs themselves and will give our teams a stronger and clearer identity as they compete for Warwick. We’ve awarded the Students’ Union a grant of £45,500 to cover the cost of the kits, following extensive consultation with our SU and sports clubs.

Vice-Chancellor and President, Nigel Thrift said:

We’re delighted to be able to cover the cost of the kits to support our teams – particularly as sport is a key part of campus life for so many of our students. In conversations with our Students’ Union, we agreed that it wouldn’t be fair for our students to be impacted by the costs of introducing a set of unified Warwick kits. The new designs look fantastic and will give our teams a very strong identity – particularly at high-profile events such as Varsity. Fingers crossed for another successful sporting year.”
