Strategy Bites: International Teaching Portal

Ramphal
The next Strategy Bites, to be held on Tuesday 12 March 2013 from 8.45am-10am, will be hosted in parallel with an evening event at Monash, to open and showcase the new International Portal facilities at Ramphal and to demonstrate how they can enhance teaching and learning.

Come along to the Ramphal atrium for breakfast refreshments and watch on the big screen as Dr Matthew Broome delivers the interdisciplinary Forms of Identity module to Warwick and Monash students in the International Portal room.

You’ll be able to hear more about the background to the facilities from Dr Paul Taylor, Director of IATL, and get an update on the technology from Jon Owen, Head of AV Services. Matthew will then come and speak about his experience of teaching using the new technology, while Dr Nick Monk from IATL and Dr Sarah McDonald at Monash facilitate a discussion with the students.

There will then be a chance to join the seminar to discuss the use of the technology with the facilitators and students.

The event is open to all staff and students, but may be of particular interest to those working with one or more other universities overseas.

A light breakfast will be available from 8.30am.
