Students required for UK visas and immigration focus groups

Over the last few months representatives from the Russell Group have been engaging with the UK Border Force Strategy Team to make the case for improvements to the way that international staff and students are welcomed when entering the UK at the border, as well as improving their treatment throughout their interactions with UK Visas and Immigration.

Michelle Harkin, a member of the UK Border Force Strategy Team will be undertaking a 2 or 3 Student Focus Groups at Warwick, to last approximately one hour. Groups will hopefully consist of international students at any level of study who have come to the UK in the last 12 months, with a mix of EEA and non-EEA and different countries.

Both EU and international students at Warwick are invited to let us know if they would be interested in taking part in a focus group which will take place in University House on the morning of Friday 13 June. To apply email Marianne Davies at marianne dot davies at warwick dot ac dot uk, please put the subject heading as ‘UKVI focus group’.

This will be a highly valuable opportunity for students to speak directly to the UKVI about their experiences and thoughts for improving this important and sometimes challenging part of the international student experience.
