Students' Union officer elections 2013: nominations open

The annual Students' Union Officer Elections kick off this week as students have from noon on Friday 8 February until noon on Friday 15 February 2013 to nominate themselves for the Sabbatical and Part-Time Officer positions.

Full-time Sabbatical Officers are the figureheads of the student population and the leaders of the SU, representing students at a university, regional and national level. There are also a number of part-time roles available representing particular groups, carried out alongside studies.

In week 8 all students will be called on to cast their vote online, selecting the people who will run the SU for 2013-14. There will be a chance to quiz the candidates on the Monday and Tuesday, and voting will take place between Wednesday 27 February - Friday 1 March 2013.
