Summer Family Day-Sunday 25 May

familydayFamily Day is brought to you by Warwick Arts Centre, Warwick Sport and Warwick Retail. It’s a day-long event that brings together a rich mix of family friendly arts and sports activities across Warwick’s campus.

There will be a host of events including:

  • Giant Model Making
  • Mask Making
  • Ribbons and Bells
  • Super Summer Hunt
  • Cake Decorating
  • Painting Wall
  • Summer Salsa Drumming Workshop
  • Crazy Clay Creatures
  • A family friendly film adaptation of the hit Jacqueline Wilson book 'Dustbin baby'

fFor those foodies among us, there will be a mini farmers market outside Warwick Arts Centre’s iconic Koan entrance. A selection of street food will be available – perfect for a leisurely summer lunch outside with the family. Le Gusta Oven & Bar and the Café Bar in Warwick Arts Centre will also be open.

If you’re feeling energetic, the University’s Sports Centre will also have lots going on. Make a splash in a swimming session or have a go on the climbing wall in a taster session at the Climbing Centre. Additionally, there will be various classes for children and adults alike, so you’re sure to find something that suits you and your family.

There’ll be shows and performances aplenty throughout the day at Warwick Arts Centre too.Plus the outdoor piazza will be alive all day with free performances from street theatre to steel pans, singing, dancing, circus and a big band extravaganza to finish the day.The day will culminate in a balloon race with the opportunity to win a special prize!
