Warwick Summer Scheme for children

boy_climbing.jpgIn light of the overwhelmingly positive response received to the Warwick Summer Holiday Scheme questionnaire, a pilot scheme for children / dependants of University staff and students will run on weekdays this summer from 22 July to 30 August 2013 (excluding the bank holiday).

This year, the Warwick Summer Scheme will be aimed at children aged 5-11 (primary school age).

The Summer Scheme aims to offer an inspiring range of educational, cultural and sporting activities to challenge, entertain and enthuse; developing children's skills and utilising the fantastic resources available on campus.

We will use the feedback from the survey to build a diverse programme which will contain a balance of physical and creative/intellectual activities every day, as well as plenty of time for guided and free play.

In addition, from 5 August, Mad Science© will be joining the Summer Scheme to offer a fun, interactive science programme, which will run alongside the General Programme for four weeks.

Children are able to mix and match days between the General Programme and Mad Science when booked in advance. For more information about the developing Scheme please take a look at our website

Cost

The day rate for the Summer Scheme is £35 for the core day from 8.45am to 5.15pm. An early bird booking rate of £30 is available to staff and students until Sunday 19 May 2013.

Options for early arrival (8am-8.45am) or late pick-up (5.15pm-6pm) can be added to each booking (£3 per session or £5 for both sessions on the same day).

Please note, places are limited during this pilot year.
