Summer degree ceremonies 2013

The University's summer degree ceremonies will take place between Monday 15 and Saturday 20 July 2013. The summer degree ceremonies are a celebration of our students' successes and achievements and will see almost 4,000 students graduating from the University.


There will two ceremonies each day, at 11:00am and 3:00pm, on Monday to Friday and one ceremony on Saturday at 11:00am. All ceremonies are held in the Butterworth Hall in Warwick Arts Centre.

Honorary Degrees

As well as celebrating student successes, honorary degrees will be awarded to distinguished men and women who have made important contributions to cultural, intellectual, social, economic or political life. This year recipients include:

Leslie Valiant Hon DSc (Honorary Doctor of Science), Jan de Vries Hon DLitt (Honorary Doctor of Letters), Dominic Cooke Hon DLitt (Honorary Doctor of Letters), Sir Paul Nurse Hon DSc (Honorary Doctor of Science) Michael Mackenzie Hon LLD (Honorary Doctor of Laws), Ruth Jones Hon DLitt (Honorary Doctor of Letters), Adrian Lester Hon DLitt (Honorary Doctor of Letters), Professor Anne Marie Slaughter Hon LLD (Honorary Doctor of Laws), Professor Robert Calderbank Hon DSc (Honorary Doctor of Science) and Gregory Doran Hon DLitt (Honorary Doctor of Letters).

Parking restrictions

As parking is limited, and to minimise disruption to the local community during graduation week, the University will be operating a free Park & Ride service from Stoneleigh Park. Read the latest parking information during Graduation.
