Talking Teaching

The next ‘Talking Teaching’ (a peer discussion group for Postgraduate Researchers and Early Career Researchers who teach) – will take place on Thursday 21 November 10:00-11:30 in the Teaching Grid, Main Library.

These informal meetings are open to all Postgraduate Researchers and Early Career Researchers who teach. They are designed to promote discussion about a range of aspects of learning and teaching and to give you an opportunity to share ideas and experiences around teaching with colleagues.

Introduction to Teaching and Learning in Higher Education Workshop

The Learning and Development Centre (LDC) offers a one-day 'central' workshop for all PhD students who teach. Key topics include: 'how students learn', 'small group teaching', 'assessment & feedback' and ' tackling challenging situations'.
