Celebrating the first graduands from our partnership with University College Birmingham
Part of something special
Congratulations to the first cohort of University College Birmingham (UCB) undergraduates and postgraduates to have their degrees accredited and awarded by Warwick.
The Warwick and UCB collaboration aims to broaden participation and provide life-changing education to ensure students are well-placed for a flourishing career. It provides technical training partnerships and degree apprenticeships, and supports fledgling entrepreneurs.
Bolstering skills and employability
With world-class facilities, exceptional teaching and broad employer networks across both institutions, the partnership has seen students obtain new opportunities that bolster their skills and employability.
More than 300 students graduated as part of this year’s ceremony, from courses including Finance and Accounting, Aviation and Airport Management, International Tourism Management, Culinary Arts Management and Sports Therapy.
A unique partnership
Professor Stuart Croft, Warwick’s Vice-Chancellor and President, was there to welcome graduands, along with UCB’s Vice-Chancellor and Principal, Professor Michael Harkin.
Stuart said: "The partnership we have with UCB is unique, working together to transform the lives of students and helping to deliver many of the skills that will be highly sought after by local employers for our region. I am pleased to see the first cohort graduating with degrees accredited by Warwick. We wish them every success with their future careers."
