Colleagues who are members of the Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS) will have received a direct email from USS on 3 March about the 2020 scheme valuation. This looks at what future, increased, contributions are required. Please note there is no impact on your pension benefits earned to date or immediate impact on contributions, and there is nothing specific for USS members to do at this stage.

We’re expecting the employers’ representative body, Universities UK (UUK), to consult employers (universities) shortly. Following this, if changes are proposed, there will be a consultation with members (staff). This is likely to be early Autumn.
